Our 4th of July

We had a wonderful 4th of July this year! The past couple years have been tough because of the heat and it's just hard to spend a WHOLE day out and about when the girls were so little. This year we were excited...our friends, Chris & Camille, invited us over (they go to church with us). We went out on Chowan River on their boat in the afternoon, and then went back to their house for dinner and dessert. They live about 20 min. from us so the plan was to drive back to Edenton for fireworks on the waterfront. We didn't plan that part of the day too well...there wasn't a parking space within 5 miles of the fireworks and we didn't want to walk, so...we headed back to our house and we were pleasantly surprised that we had a better view from our little driveway then everyone else in town! Only sad part is that the girls missed the fireworks. :( They were SO tired and fell asleep on the drive back to our house. The boat ride really tired them out! :) We put them right in bed and then we got to sit and talk with our friends. It was a wonderful day! We are so thankful the Lord answered our prayers for some great Christian friends for us to fellowship with. They are very special already!!

My handsome guy enjoying the day! Hannie fell asleep.

Savannah loved the boat!

Hannie...not so much! :( She was so tired and then we put her in the cold water and she was NOT happy!! She sure is cute though! :)
