Finally...an update!!

Hey everybody! Sorry it's been so long since I've put an update on here...lots going on!! For starters, Savannah has had a cast on her leg for the past 3 1/2 weeks...no it's NOT broken!! :) She's had a mild form of club foot in her left foot since she was born, so the doctor is trying to straighten it out while she's still little. They told us in the beginning that she'd need to have it casted for 6 weeks and it had to be repositioned every week to increase the range of motion in her ankle. This past Thursday was the 3rd time she got it changed, and the doctor said it looks SO good that next Thursday they are going to take the cast off for good and go to the next step, which is a brace for 3 months. It's like a bar that attaches to the bottom of both her shoes and she will need to wear it all day for those 3 months. After that, only at night, but we're not sure for how long exactly. We are just so thankful that the Lord has allowed this whole situation to go so smoothly for us...Jeremy and I were pretty nervous about the whole thing cause we thought it might interfere with her walking and that would be really hard for me to see Hannah able to and Savannah not...ya know? So, as a Mom I was worried, but she's doing wonderful, and you'd really never even know she's got that cast on the way she's always flingin' it up in the air!! :) Here's a pic of her I took today.
Hannah is doing great too...she LOVES to stand up and really has no interest in being on the floor as much as Savannah does...she'd rather be in the saucer where she can see everything that's going on. They are both eating baby food now...they absolutely love it, especially the rice lately. Savannah had a big bowl tonight and still wanted more...so I made more! :) What's a mom to do?
Here's one of both of them...we love our little pumpkins so much. They're really starting to "care" more about each other, too. (like if one is crying the other gets upset) They didn't really notice too much before. :)
Jeremy is doing good...work keeps him pretty busy. He is starting to think very seriously about what he's going to do work-wise once he is done with the CG next June. He'd love to stay here in Fairfax county and be a police officer...we'll see what happens. I wouldn't mind staying in VA, but would LOVE to move further away from the city. We do love our church a lot, though, and we've really started to get close to the couple's our age there. I guess we just need to pray.
Well...that's pretty much all that's going on here. The weather was GORGEOUS here today...hoping spring has sprung for good! :) The blossoms are so pretty.
