Jeremy: He is about to finish his very last semester of online classes and I am SO PROUD OF HIM!!! He has completed his bachelors in criminal justice (as of 2 wks from now), which will be such an asset to him down the road...whatever choices he decides to make regarding his job. He is adjusting well to his new base in Chesapeake and seems to enjoy his co-workers for the most part! ;) Jeremy has also been deer hunting this fall/winter for the first time ever! :) A lady in our church owns a great chunk of land and has given him permission to hunt there this year. You should see him all decked out in his camo...he gets SO excited!! He hasn't gotten a deer yet, but it's tough with other people on the adjacent property...they keep shooting them all!! I'm praying he gets one before the season ends in January.
Savannah: Savannah is growing up so quickly...she is really starting to gain some weight now (she's always been so teeny tiny!). She is SOOO girly...she loves dresses, jewelry, SHOES, makeup and dancing. :) She is always coming up to either Jeremy or I and saying, "May I have this dance?"! So hilarious. She is super smart...sounding like she could be ready for Kindergarten tomorrow if they would take her! She really loves spending time with other kids, mostly at church. Our Pastor's wife has graciously been letting her go to Jr. Church some weeks (for part of it) and she has a hard time sitting still, but she gets so excited about being with the other kids, and singing songs with them especially. She is definitely a secure, outgoing kid. If we could just get her un-addicted to candy!!!...
Hannah: Hannah is doing wonderful...she is always such a happy girl and she thinks everything is super funny lately. :) I mentioned before about her therapy situation and we have decided (after meetings) that the best thing for Hannah right now is to stop therapy altogether. We just don't feel safe about her riding the bus. When we get a car in the spring we are hoping to resume therapy - she will go to school about 2 half-day per week. In the meantime I am going to see if Tricare can help us in any way to continue the in-home therapy. It may be a waste of time, but it's worth a shot. Anyway...she is coming along great and she is really loving letters and numbers. She knows quite a few and can even spell words that Savannah struggles with. Such a little smarty. Her hair is getting pretty long now and is SO curly! I just love how my girls are so different, yet they both are so amazing to us! :)
Me: I am doing really well, too. It was great to see my family this past Thanksgiving...we went up to NY for about a week. It flew by so fast...I couldn't believe it when it was time to go back home. I've been having a little bit of a hard time the past few months just with our hectic schedule and feeling like Jeremy and I don't have a whole lot of time together. We never imagined how hard it would be with him taking classes in the evenings and then me having to go to church to do my work in the evenings too. Add to that church events, therapy issues, trying to fix up our still-new house, and just everyday life with two 3 yr. olds...it's been challenging. But at least the worst will be over here in a couple weeks and then hopefully things will settle down at least for a while. (yeah right...who am I kidding???) ;)
The past few months have definitely been a time of reflection for me. God has been so good to us and I have such an amazing husband, fabulous girls, a wonderful church and we have a family that loves us! Not to mention all the other "stuff" that we don't really need, yet we have. Guess I'm just THANKFUL. :)
We are getting excited for a couple weeks from now...we will be heading to GA to spend Christmas with the Weible's. Until then, Christmas parties and some other fun things. It really is a fun time of the year...but I'm SO gonna need to go on a diet and Christmas isn't even here yet!! :)
Pictures to come! Hope you are all enjoying this Christmas season.
