Update

Hannah is doing much better today! She gave us quite a scare yesterday morning, though. I was so tired after we got home from the ER Thursday night, I wasn't thinking straight. I gave her the first dose of the amoxicillin and motrin, and she went to bed fine, but I didn't even think to set my alarm and give Hannah more meds during the night. When Jeremy was leaving for work at 6 am he checked in on her and she was burning up. I got her up & took her temp. and it was 104!!! I stuck her right in the tub and got her some medicine, and in the meantime I called Jeremy and said "PLEASE COME HOME"!!!! He had just left for work so he was home within a few minutes to help me. I was shaking I was so scared for her...poor baby. Her fever went right down...I just still feel so bad, and am SO thankful that the Lord protected her. That high of a fever is so dangerous...the nurse told me at 103 it's possible for them to have seizures! I guess I assumed if she was uncomfortable she would cry and wake me up, but kids do funny things when they're sick. :( Anyway, last night we took turns checking her almost every hour...didn't get a whole lot of sleep cuz I was so worried about her!

Since then she's been doing wonderful. Today her fever finally broke around lunch time. (The doc told me she'd have a low-grade fever for a few days until the antibiotic kicks in.) She's also been sleeping better and drinking better today. I had a hard time getting her to drink yesterday...we had to fight a little! :) (You know somethin' is up with Hannah when she doesn't want her milk!) :P Anyway, thanks for praying, everyone. She's definitely getting better. Please just pray that this antibiotic works and clears up the infection and that the fever won't come back. We'll keep you all posted on how she's doing this week.

Other than that, not too much going on. We didn't really get out this weekend too much, and we won't be going to church tomorrow. We just need to keep this sickness to ourselves for a little while, I think! I took Savannah with me to get groceries this afternoon, but that's really all we did today...she was getting SO restless! She loves going to the store with me so she can wave and say hi to all the people we don't know! :) Everyone here is going to the Cherry Blossom Festival up in D.C. tomorrow. The trees are so beautiful, I just wish it would last all summer! I'll try to take some more pics of the trees and put them up for you all to see.

Jeremy also just found out he's going to Kansas for some work training in 2 weeks. He'll be gone for a week. I think he's really looking forward to it. He deserves a little vacation...he works hard! :) Then my family will be here the week after that! Can't wait to see them! Here's a video of the girls playing tonight before bed. Hannie is still not quite herself, but there aint nothing wrong with Savannie!! :)
